Rutherford College is looking for an experienced and passionate Commerce educator ready to lead and inspire? We are seeking a dynamic Teacher in Charge of Commerce to join our Social Sciences Department. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Commerce education at Rutherford College.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Commerce department with vision and energy
Develop and teach a junior programme encompassing Financial Literacy, Business Studies and Commerce.
Teach Economics up to Year 13 to a high standard
Deliver engaging lessons in line with the New Zealand Curriculum
Support students' academic growth and foster a love for business, accounting, and economic thinking
Contribute to curriculum development and department planning
Collaborate with colleagues and support school-wide goals

Requirements:

Proven experience teaching Economics at senior levels (including NCEA Level 3)
A deep understanding of the NZ Curriculum and assessment frameworks
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to motivate and lead a team of educators
Current NZ Teacher Registration
