Fixed Term Teaching Position (Maternity Cover) - 2024 School Year

We are looking for an exceptional English teacher to join our collegial and collaborative teaching team. You will need to be an enthusiastic, student-centered and culturally sustaining practitioner who is committed to equitable student outcomes. 

Qualities that would strengthen your application: 

• Experience teaching NCEA English at all levels. 
• A strong track record for marking, moderation, achievement, and tracking.  
• Effective assessment practices e.g. multi-modal and evidence gathering approaches.  
• Effective and engaging classroom practices.  
• Already demonstrating leadership, collaboration, and collegiality.  
• Already demonstrating a commitment to the kaupapa of Manurewa High School. 

We are one of the largest multicultural schools in NZ, with around 2,000 students.
