Commencing Term 4 2022. We seek skilled and motivated curriculum leader who will show innovation in leadership, strength in pedagogical curriculum knowledge and leads through whanaungatanga and relationship building. Open to exploring different models of leadership.

The Head of Learning Area for English at Manurewa High School needs to be: 

• A role model for our school whakataukii ‘Piki atu ki te rangi – Aim High, Strive for Excellence’  
• A person who lives our school kawa, values and aligns with our school charter
• Passionate about culturally sustaining teaching and learning and is actively committed to Equity 
• Is able to lead the changes to NCEA programme and integrating maatauranga Maaori into English programmes 
• Experienced or innovative when developing authentic, contextualised English based and /or co-curricula programmes
• Experienced or willing to be supported in a digital learning environment
• Willing to make a commitment to the school’s restorative and culturally sustaining practices
• Interested in fostering whaanau and community relationships
