We are seeking to strengthen our Student Support Services here at Manurewa High School. We are looking for applications for the following positions:

• Counsellor – NZAC, DAPAANZ or NZCCA registered
   or a
• Social Worker – SWRB or ANZASW registered
• Youth Worker – A recognised qualification relevant to working with rangatahi and whanau.

We are looking for the right people to join our Student Support Services team who will bring their own flavour, knowledge and experience to the role. Our ideal applicants will have:

• The ability to work within Manurewa High Schools Learner profile and Te Ara o Tawhaki by adapting knowledge and applying to own professional practice.
• An understanding of mental health, social and cultural issues.
• The ability to empower, support, connect and work with rangatahi to achieve positive outcomes. 
• The ability to work in a moving-work space - adaptability to change.
• Cultural awareness, understanding and experience in working with rangatahi and whanau/aiga from multiple ethnicities and cultures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
• Some experience working within a school or rangatahi focused setting would be advantageous 
• The ability to use your knowledge, skill and networks to produce the best outcome for students and families including engaging with external providers and agencies
• Competency in using Microsoft office or other digital platforms would be advantageous 

• Experience in restorative practice would be advantageous
