Urban Farm Manager - Paid Internship

Full time : 30+ hours per week : Mon - Fri

Te Maara Kai o Wirihana are looking for an experienced market gardener and community educator to join our small and ambitious team growing a market garden and food forest enterprise on 6500sqm with Manurewa High School students, teachers and various other community and business partners. The successful applicant will be under the mentorship and management of current farm manager, Levi Brinsdon-Hall, who has 9 seasons and over 10,000 hours experience setting up urban farms throughout NZ.

 We are looking for applicants who:

 Are serious in pursuing a career in urban farming!

Have at least two full seasons growing experience from seed to harvest. Work experience on market gardens is essential.

Have experience teaching and managing groups of students or volunteers to complete farming tasks.

Love working with people!

Are physically fit, capable and comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
