Health & Physical Education Teacher - Fulltime, fixed term

Applications close: 3 weeks ago - 15/04/2024.

We are one of the largest multicultural schools in New Zealand, with over 2,200 students representing more than 50 nationalities, a true reflection of Tāmaki Makaurau.

We are led strongly by our educational framework Te Ara o Tāwhaki and our values of Respect, Excellence, Whanaungatanga and Akoranga. They guide how we work together as a school community and our student motivation and achievement is strong, through the hard work and dedication of a caring and professional staff.

Are you a passionate educator who is ready for a new challenge?

  • Do you have the ability to inspire and engage students and cultivate positive relationships with ākonga, kaiako, and whānau
  • Do you have strong skills in literacy, numeracy, and proven experience in supporting a diverse range of youth
  • Do you practice culturally responsive pedagogy?
  • Are you interested in developing a bicultural learning community?
  • Are you energetic, resilient, committed and creative?

Due to our roll increase, we are seeking a motivated and passionate teacher to join our Health and Physical Education (HPE) team. We operate as a highly collaborative and dynamic team that offers a range of learning opportunities for all students from Y9–13 and beyond. Experience teaching outdoor education and/or the health curriculum is preferred but not essential.

We ask you state clearly on your application if you can teach other subjects and what your strengths are.
