Rutherford College is a school of approximately 1400 students and 150 staff based on Te Atatu Peninsula. There is a strong focus on students achieving to their full potential and striving for personal excellence.

We are seeking an excellent practitioner to join the senior leadership team. The successful candidate will have proven experience as a leader already with the ability to mentor and grow staff professionally and personally.

Ideally you will have a strong background in pastoral care, excellent knowledge of pastoral procedures and practices along with skill in managing and implementing changes where necessary.

Key to this position is sound knowledge of secondary tertiary provision with the ability to lead vocational pathways.

Preference will be given to someone who can provide guidance and support to develop Pasifika and Aotearoa studies in the school.

Rutherford College desires a candidate who can actively advocate the school’s vision, values and goals and continue to promote the high expectation culture for raising student achievement. The willingness to contribute to the rich culture of the school is highly desirable.
